UK firms expanding to USA to meet US State trade teams
British firms considering a US expansion are being offered the chance to schedule one to one meetings with Rhode Island Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor and his Providence-based trade and investment team when they visit the UK in September.
The East Coast US State, which is increasingly being selected as the cost effective east coast landing site for UK and EU entrants to the US market, are currently scheduling meetings with UK companies actively seeking a US base. The team are able to outline the trade and investment incentives potentially available to UK firms basing themselves in the State, and discuss the location’s cost and resource advantages, as well as access to nearby centres including New York and Boston.
Stefan Pryor said: “More and more, international companies are realising the benefits of doing business in Rhode Island – including our competitive tax structure, potent economic development tools, and high quality of life. Companies with UK roots, including Finlays and Virgin Pulse, have chosen to plant their flag in our state, and we look forward to exploring opportunities with other companies that are looking to expand in America.”
